WHY KINPRO

The New Standard in Exploration

In modern exploration, the use of advanced remote-sensing methods should be regarded as an essential component of responsible and technically sound decision-making. An investor should not pay to test a geological hypothesis with a drill rig when the hypothesis can be validated remotely for 5–7% of the cost of a well.

We do not sell "pretty maps." We offer a reduction in geological uncertainty.

We deliver GPS coordinates of ranked drill targets with the highest probability of intersecting an ore body or achieving a commercial hydrocarbon flow rate along with the geological evidence supporting each recommendation. All deliverables are provided in PDF, GIS, and Excel formats for ease of analysis and integration into client workflows.

This is the real economic objective of modern exploration. And it is a proven one: our predictive modeling assisted in the discovery of the 60 trillion cubic feet (TCF) Anadarko gas field in Mozambique and the 400M barrel condensate field in the Peruvian Amazon by PetroPeru, forming part of KINPRO’s historical validation record, in which 90–95% of selected X-Vision targets were subsequently confirmed by follow-up exploration.

In Mozambique KINPRO conducted integrated satellite remote sensing and geophysical surveys, resulting in the identification and GPS-referenced localization of geophysical anomalies constituting direct indicators of large prospective natural gas resources within Gas Block Area 1, formerly held by Anadarko. These resources were subsequently confirmed by seismic acquisition and successful drilling, contributing to the formal deposit discovery

Similarly, geophysical anomalies detected by KINPRO in the Peruvian Amazon contributed to PetroPeru's discovery

Strategic Assessment of Gas or Ore Potential

We turn exploration into a strategic advantage for oil-and-gas companies, mining companies, and investors—helping them reduce risk and optimize spending through high-information-density, reliable data that makes projects more efficient and more investable. In short, we assess the gas or ore potential of a territory before drilling begins.

KINPRO® brings unique experience in integrated aerospace geophysical surveying, together with technologies for data acquisition, integrated processing, and interpretation in support of predictive and exploration tasks.

KINPRO® works with high-precision, high-detail aerospace geophysical data at large scales of 1:100,000, 1:50,000, and 1:25,000, and performs full in-house processing, including:

  • Aerospace gravity surveying.
  • Satellite multispectral and hyperspectral sensing.
  • Aerospace magnetometry.
  • Gamma-ray spectrometry.
  • Multi-frequency and time-domain (pulsed) airborne electromagnetic surveying.
  • Thermal infrared imaging.
  • Airborne LiDAR scanning and aerial photography.
  • Satellite radar imaging.
  • Proprietary Frequency-Spatial Spectral Analysis Technology (FSSAT).

Over the past 25 years, we have completed dozens of successful exploration projects across many countries and continents. Our team of geologists and geophysicists are exceptional professionals with 30–40 years of experience in developing, implementing, and conducting virtually every type of aerospace geophysical survey for mineral, hydrocarbon, and commercial-grade groundwater exploration.

Advantages of Geophysical Methods in Exploration

  • A complete work cycle delivered within a single field season.
  • Integration of data with GIS platforms and 3D models.
  • Localization and delineation of ore bodies or gas-bearing targets (districts) prior to drilling.
  • Significantly improved precision in drilling-program planning.
  • High resolution and detail in the resulting data.

Our Philosophy — A Disruptive Approach

We offer a new exploration paradigm—what might be called a disruptive technology. Such a technology shifts the balance of value within a field: established technologies become uncompetitive simply because the parameters on which competition was previously based lose their significance.

Historical Target Confirmation 90–95%

90–95%
90–95% historical confirmation of selected X-Vision targets through follow-up exploration.
Higher than conventional approach success (2D Seismic + Drilling)

Cost Reduction

Up to 40%
Significant budget optimization vs conventional ground-based exploration programs.

Timeline Reduction

2× Faster
Rapid screening and data acquisition, enabling target localization in half the time of standard programs.

Remote Pre-Screening

5–7%
Low-risk preliminary assessment costing just 5–7% of the expense of drilling a physical well.

Prospect Selection

1–15%
Typically only 1–15% of a survey area represents prospective ground; our methods screen out the remaining unproductive 85–99% early.

Depth & Survey Experience

5–10 km
Depth penetration up to 10 km. Experience of over 450,000 km² surveyed across all continents since 2000.
